Everlasting Footprints Grant

The loss of a child is one of the most difficult losses that a family can face. In the United States each year, there are 26,000 stillbirths, 900,000 early pregnancy losses and 19,000 neonatal losses. These numbers do not even include deaths occurring in the toddler age bracket.

Many grieving parents find comfort in rituals. Funerals or memorial services have served many parents as beautiful and meaningful ways of saying goodbye, providing a sense of closure after a child’s death. Unfortunately the financial cost of a funeral and headstone must be met by the bereaved parents. As the death of a young child is often unforeseen or due to a serious illness resulting in financial strain, paying for these things can be very difficult.

Angels of Hope, Inc., would like to help needy area families with the expense of funeral and headstone fees related to the death of an child from stillborn to the age of three. We understand the emotional importance of providing a final resting place and appropriate recognition, no matter how long the life. We hope to relieve bereaved parents of this financial burden and to help them along their path to healing by awarding grants to qualified parents in the approved areas listed below. Grant awards will be based on availability of funds and financial need.

Angels of Hope, Inc., also wishes to increase awareness of the grieving process as it relates to the loss of a child through advocacy and public education, with the hope of offering positive support during times of need.
